Requirements:

Master's degree in English Literature or a comparable discipline. Comparable disciplines include but are not limited to:

Comparative Literature, specialized literatures in other languages, Classics, Cultural Studies; OR Doctoral degree in English Literature or a comparable discipline (see above); OR Bachelor's degree in English Literature and Master's degree in a related discipline. 

Related disciplines include but are not limited to: Applied Linguistics, Journalism, English Education, Creative Writing, Communications, Media Studies. 

Teaching experience is an asset. Other important assets include: Pedagogical training, teaching experience, especially in CEGEP or High School, ESL/FSL and/or diverse and/or marginalized communities, Leadership experience, especially with youth, Knowledge of the CEGEP system, Knowledge of French and other languages, Academic, journalistic and/or creative publications (including conference papers), Strong desire to contribute actively to department life, Sensitivity, training, research interests and personal experience that provide both support and modelling for the diversity of our student population.
